A Message from Lorna Carter (Chair of the Board of Trustees)

Published by Disability Nottinghamshire on

“It’s very sad that we have had to close our long established office on Rosemary Street in Mansfield.

We are facing some serious funding problems at the moment. Unfortunately funding cuts across the voluntary and community sector are not uncommon at this time.

The results of this have impacted on our work, and we have had to limit some of our services temporarily to help us get through this difficult time and enable us to seek further funding opportunities and review the way we deliver services.

Thanks to our fantastic team, many of whom are volunteers, we are continuing to provide the free, confidential and independent advice service, relating to any aspect of disability, that you all expect from us.

Although our Rosemary Street Office has closed, we will still deliver telephone advice services on 01623 625891 and will endeavour to commence outreach surgeries once again in the autumn. Although our services may be limited for this time, we are still here, ready to help, so please phone us or email us on advice@disabilitynottinghamshire.org.uk and we will continue to do everything we can to serve the people of Nottinghamshire.

Please bear with us during this difficult financial time, wish us luck, but don’t forget we are still here to help, at the end of the phone. We look forward to hearing from you.”

Lorna
