Appeals and Tribunals

Appeals and tribunals

Unfortunately we are unable to provide representation on appeals due to a lack of funding but if you still require help to complete an appeal or understand what happens at tribunal then we have some self help packs which can either be downloaded below or by contacting us via email or telephone.

What are appeals and tribunals?

Appeals – If your welfare benefit application has been turned down, you’re able to file an appeal against the decision if you think it is incorrect.

Tribunals – Following your appeal, you may have to go to a tribunal, which is simply a type of court in which the outcome of your appeal will be decided. You may be asked to speak during the tribunal if there is anything which needs clarifying.

How can we help?

We can give you information and advice over the phone regarding an appeal but cannot act as a representative or work on your case for a sustained period of time. We can advise you on any of the following appeal and tribunal processes:

  • Personal Independent Payments (PIP)
  • Employment Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

What if we can’t help?

We have produced some self help guides should we not be able to assist you which can download below:
